We offer the following core services:
Asbestos Training
Regulation 10 – "Information, Instruction and Training"
'Every employer shall ensure that adequate information, instruction and training is given to those of his employees who are liable to be exposed to asbestos, or who supervise such employees'.
Training is provided in accordance with ACOP 'Work with materials containing asbestos' L127, Regulation 10 Guidance. ABS is a UKATA (United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association) accredited company providing specialised training on a range of topics relating to asbestos. Training can be delivered a client's premises or at mutually convenient location.
Interaction is a vital part of each course and delegates are encouraged to participate in our 'hands on' approach to ensure understanding and awareness.
Asbestos Training courses are available in the following subjects
Category 2 - Non Licensable Asbestos Works Course
This course is aimed at workers in the construction, maintenance, refurbishment and related trades, who may work with non-licensable asbestos containing materials during the course of their work. Delegates undertaking this training must also receive Asbestos awareness training. A short exam must be undertaken as part of the training to confirm the delegates understanding of the topics covered.
Course notes are provided and Training Certificate is provided for all delegates completing the training.
Topics Covered
Asbestos Essentials: Task Manual (HSG210) for building, maintenance and allied trades on non-licensed asbestos work.
Category 3 - General Asbestos Awareness Training
The courses is aimed at general maintenance staff, electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, painter and decorators, joiners, plasterers, demolition workers, construction workers, roofers, heating and ventilation engineers, telecommunication engineers, fire and burglar alarm installers, computer installers, architects, surveyors and other such professionals, shop fitters etc. ad detailed in
Delivers a basic introduction to where asbestos materials are found within buildings and workplaces. The course is designed to enable them to do their work safely and prevent unnecessary exposure to asbestos fibres. This course can be tailored to meet the clients requirements dependant on the type of work the individuals or organisation undertakes. A short exam must be undertaken as part of the training to confirm the delegates understanding of the topics covered.
Course notes are provided and Training Certificate is provided for all delegates completing the training.
